Sugar production reached 7.57 thousand tons in the first half of January. Since the beginning of the 2020/2021 harvest up to January 16, accumulated sugar production reached 38.19 million tons. The volume reported in the same period of 2019/2020 harvest was 26.48 million tons.
The volume of ethanol produced reached 124.80 million liters in the first half of January. The accumulated production of ethanol reached 29.42 billion liters, with 9.62 billion liters of anhydrous ethanol and 19.80 billion liters of hydrous ethanol. Of the total fuel produced, 1.98 billion liters of biofuel were produced from corn.
