Sugar production reached 3,03 million tons in the second half of July 2021. Since the beginning of the 2021/2022 harvest up to August 1st , accumulated sugar production reached 18,2 million tons. This result is 7.67% lower than the 19,8 million tons reported over the same period last year.
The volume of ethanol produced reached 2,28 billion liters in the second half of July. The accumulated production of ethanol reached 14,11 billion liters, with 5,28 billion liters of anhydrous ethanol and 8,83 billion liters of hydrous ethanol. Of the total fuel produced, 981,16 million liters of biofuel were produced from corn.
